Management wishes to inform all staff
that Mr. Chua Seng Tek will retire as
Chairman and Director of the Company
and Mr. Thomas Chua, the current Group
Deputy Chairman and Managing Director,
will succeed Mr. Chua Seng Tek as Chairman
of the Board with effect from 1st April
2002. Mr. Thomas Chua’s designation
in the Company will be Chairman and
Managing Director.
A founder of Teckwah, Mr. Chua Seng
Tek was the Managing Director on 22nd
August 1972 when the Company was incorporated
and as Chairman of the Board since
26th April 1989. Under his leadership,
Teckwah has expanded into an integrated
range of services including printing
and packaging, supply chain management,
digital pre-press database management
and logistics support, both locally
and regionally. His invaluable contributions
have placed Teckwah in a strong position
to meet the challenges ahead. In recognition
of his sterling guidance, The Board
of Director confers on Mr. Chua Seng
Tek the designation of “Founder
and Honorary Life Counsellor”
upon his retirement.
Mr. Thomas Chua joined the Company
as Sales Manager in May 1979 and became
the Executive Director in June 1983.
He was promoted to Managing Director
in April 1989, and subsequently become
the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director
in July 1999.
The Management will like to express
their gratitude to Mr. Chua Seng Tek
for his guidance throughout the years
and to wish him a fulfilling retirement.
The Management will also like to take
this opportunity to congratulate Mr.
Thomas Chua on his new appointment.
